In Indonesia, Marathon operates the Pasangkayu PSC offshore West Sulawesi in the Makassar Straits and recently completed one of the largest proprietary 3D seismic surveys in Indonesia. A multi-well exploration drilling program is planned. In addition, Marathon is seeking additional business opportunities in Indonesia. Marathon offers excellent compensation and benefits and currently has opportunities for the following national professionals:
• Exploration Subsurface Manager, Degree in Geosciences, minimum 15 years experience in hydrocarbon exploration, basin analysis, play and prospect generation, risk and economic analysis, New Venture appraisal, Liaising with government agencies and universities. Record of successfully managing hydrocarbon exploration projects
• Exploration Geologist, Degree in Geology, 5 - 15 years experience in hydrocarbon exploration, basin analysis, play and prospect generation, ability to use workstation applications (Landmark or equivalent) an advantage. Position offered will depend on experience and ability
• Exploration Geophysicist, Degree in Geophysics or Geosciences, 5 - 15 years experience in hydrocarbon exploration, regional and prospect mapping, operations and/or processing an advantage, ability to use workstation applications (Landmark or, equivalent) essential.
